
Recently, 8th grade students, from Thomas Jefferson Middle School, visited the Holocaust Museum Center for Tolerance and Education at Rockland Community College in New York. The mission of the center is to educate, through the lens of the Holocaust, about the dangers of intolerance, to invoke critical thinking, and to inspire moral courage in the face of injustice.





Students are exploring the differences between unicellular and multicellular organisms in their science class using compound light microscopes. In this picture, Ms. Kim is assisting her students at TJMS.

Fair Lawn HS students collaborate with students around the state to support TEEEM’s Lakota Pod, where they help the Oglala Lakota Tribe on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Here are the results of the Sewing Supply Drive from collection to receipt at the reservation!





On March 6th, Milnes School welcomed Alan Katz as the visiting author. Alan Katz is a well-known author and producer who published Silly Dilly songbooks, poetry books, early readers, and picture books. Alan Katz shared his love of reading and writing and students LOVED listening to his silly jokes!

Our FLHS computer science and technology education staff attending their second coding, computer science and design thinking workshops this week which focused on robotics, python, and more!




Our middle school teachers attended their second day of computer science, design thinking and coding professional development yesterday as we continue to enhance our district programs.



FLHS Design Technology Honors students in Ms. Angiuli's class created automatons -mechanical devices that can be made in imitation of a human being, with or without power parts being used. They researched machinery, applications, sketched ideas and manufactured each part.

Radburn School rolls out its One School, One Book program with a visit from EYES OF THE WILD! The entire school will read, A BOY NAMED BAT!





In conjunction with the Super Bowl & our Character Education program, Milnes School collected 500 cans of soup to donate to the Fair Lawn’s Food Pantry. We had designated bins where students placed their donated soup cans to vote for certain teachers. Ms. McCarthy had the most soup cans donated in her bin. As a special treat, some students (and Mrs. Primavera!) sprayed silly string at Ms. McCarthy!


Thank you to Thermofisher Scientific in Fair Lawn for welcoming the FLHS STEM Club, advised by Ms. Ryder, for a tour of their plant. Students visited the quality control lab and learned about the supply chain process.
