Welcome to Fair Lawn Public Schools Communication Page! We are pleased to serve the communication needs of the district by facilitating an open exchange of information between the school district and our students, parents/guardians, staff, news media, and community partners. Our community relations liaison creates and manages a wide variety of district-related programs and activities including:

• District Website – Provides various resources including current district news and events, and links to district schools and departments.

• School Websites – In addition to the district website, every school has their own website that focuses on school-related information.

• Local access Cable TV – Television programming includes news updates, student performances, and board meetings on Channel 37 (Verizon) and Channel 77 (Cablevision). All BOE meetings are live-streamed and archived on the district website.

• Newsletter - Biannual districtwide newsletter entitled The Cutting Edge is distributed (hard copy) to all Fair Lawn residents, schools and posted on district website.

• Social Media – Fair Lawn Public Schools is on Facebook (this account has been verified) Instagram, Twitter and Linkedin.

• E-flyers – School, district and community approved e-flyers are sent directly to parents via email using Peachjar, a web-based flyer management system. Peachjar replaces paper flyers.

• Media Outreach – Working with local, regional, state, and national media.

• Emergency Outreach - In the event of an emergency or school closing, parents, students, and staff will be notified via a variety of communication methods including School Messenger, on our district website (note the Alert Box with emergency notifications on district home page), our social media sites, and the news media.
