The Tanglewood Marionettes presented The Dragon King, an award-winning production, to help Lyncrest kick off our Year of the Dragon celebration. An underwater fantasy based on Chinese folklore, The Dragon King told the tale of an intrepid Grandmother who journeyed to the bottom of the sea in search of the elusive Dragon King, and the answers to why he had forsaken the land above. The colorful sea creatures, exciting adventure, and Dragon King knocked the students' socks off! Thank you to the Lyncrest PTO for sponsoring this engaging assembly.

'Tis the season for helping others and having fun! Lyncrest School sponsored our annual Make the World Better with a Holiday Sweater campaign, benefitting the Arthritis Foundation. It's wonderful to see our Lyncrest community "sweater up" and raise money for a great cause. Students and staff sent in donations ($761.70!!!) and decorated a sweater which was proudly displayed in school. As promised, Mrs. Diee wore a holiday themed sweatshirt chosen by Mrs. Chahine and Mr. Draney! Thank you all for your kindness and generosity. Special thanks to Mr. Draney and Mrs. Chahine for organizing the event!
