Sophomore Class Council President Candidates

Lilia Grinshteyn: My name is Lilia Grinshteyn, I am currently a Freshman and seeking the office of Sophomore Class Council President. Throughout my school career, I have participated in a number of activities and had experience with leadership skills such as determination, communication, and most importantly, patience. In addition to being a member of  NJHS in middle school, I have had experience teaching classes every week at my dance studio as well as tutoring. Through my experience with the NJHS in middle school, I learned important skills including collaboration and inclusivity. Teaching children has taught me an immense amount about patience and kindness, as well as being attentive to the needs of those I am responsible for. Furthermore, I am an excellent public speaker which is a skill that is a benefit to the position I am running for. Overall these qualities will make me an excellent candidate and Sophomore Class President.

Stephanie Orr:  Hi, my name is Stephanie Orr and I am running for the position of Sophomore Class Council President. I am applying because I know I would bring all my experience and commitment to this role. During this year, I have planned meeting agendas and detailed class reports. These experiences  have taught me the value of considering all opinions and channeling them productively. It has also given me many chances to understand my class’ values. Also, I helped to organize the annual Freshman Dance and Game Night. Additionally I worked with class council to set up our first ever holiday themed bake sales where we were able to personalize and handcraft food items. I voted to create the first ever Freshman Bowling Night at Bowlero as well. I hope to carry these successful ideas into next year with your help. Vote Stephanie to make these ideas a reality.

Sophomore Class Council Vice President Candidates

Francesca Polidoro: My name is Francesca Polidoro, I am a freshman, and I am running for the position of Sophomore Class Council Vice President. I am a good candidate because I have a lot of experience, including being Freshman Class Council Vice President and being an Executive Board member of NJHS in eighth grade. Outside of school, I have also had leadership positions that have taught me important values, such as being a junior cheer coach for Fair Lawn Football Association. In addition to this, I possess many qualities, such as responsibility, open-mindness, and determination, that make me suitable for this position. Overall, I am very excited for the upcoming 23-24 school year! :)

Juhitha Redroutu: My name is Juhitha Redroutu, and I am a freshman running for Vice President of the sophomore class council. I possess the qualities needed by learning from previous experiences.  In middle school, I was a part of the NJHS. Being part of this group that worked to make change was a new experience for me, and looking back on it, I can see how it set me up with skills that I want to take further by getting involved in class council. Starting in middle school and until today, orchestra has been a big part of my life. I originally joined for fun, but it developed into wanting to be part of creating music, to work together and practice to achieve our goal. Orchestra showed me that I contribute in a group setting and enjoy doing it. For these reasons, I believe I am an eligible candidate for vice presidency.
